Ear PiercingWe use a special technique using hypoallergenic medical grade earrings. They are attractive and will not cause an allergic reaction. The procedure is quick and easy, with minimal discomfort. Piercings are performed as young as 3 months of age; at least one month after the first immunizations are administrered.  The earrings can be replaced after 6-8 weeks , but many patients choose to keep them in longer since the options include decorative selections. Call for an ear piercing appointment. The fee is $50.00 to $65.00. Mention you read about it here and receive a $5.00 discount.

We also have hypoallergenic medical grade earrings available for purchase for already pierced ears.  The cost begins at $35.00 per set.  Please ask our office for details regarding the selection.

FAQs on our ear piercings:
While some materials that earrings are made from are very likely to cause nickel allergy, the Medical Plastic earrings have 0% nickel.  We also have titanium earrings which bind nickel better than any other metal.  In other words titanium will leak less nickel than any other metal.

A fresh ear piercing should be kept clean, dry, and airy.  When cleaning pierced ears, first wash your hands thoroughly and then wash your pierced ear with clean running water and soap.  Then use a clean towel to dry them.

There is no need to twist the earrings during the healing period.  If you twist the earrings without having carefully washed the ears and your hands first, it can result in an infection.

It is recommended to leave the new piercing in for a minimum of four weeks.   We provide a wide selection of earrings to pierce with so often caregivers choose to leave them in long term.   If the caregiver does decide to change the earrings, we recommend removing the earrings after cleaning them and replacing the earrings so that the hole does not shrink.  Often the hole can shrink during the first year if no earring is through the piercing.  Also remember we have a selection of earrings to choose from for already pierced ears.
